Finally got my Tacoma and I still can't believe it came off an auction site

Alright so I've been wanting a Tacoma forever but couldn't stomach the prices people ask for used ones around here. These trucks hold value like crazy, it's actually ridiculous. Anything decent with reasonable miles was basically new-truck money.

Then I'm on worldwidecommerceautosales.com (been using it for boats for a while) and I see they have trucks too. And there's a 2024 Tacoma Double Cab sitting there — low miles, clean Carfax, new tires, bed liner, the works. Photos looked almost too clean.

Blind auction like everything else on there, so no clue what anyone else was in at. I did my research, looked at what these things actually sell for locally (spoiler: too much lol), set my number with a little cushion, and submitted. Then did the usual refresh-the-email-every-hour thing for like 4 days 😂

    Won it.

Showed up expecting SOMETHING to be wrong. Like there had to be a catch. Nope. Interior basically spotless, no rattles, engine's tight, tires have like 95% tread. Previous owner clearly babied it — even had the maintenance records in the glovebox, organized, in a folder. Who does that lol.

Only thing it "needed" was an oil change and taking the previous owner's church sticker off the back window 😂

Anyway if you're truck shopping and only looking at the usual sites, you're overpaying imo. Just know your number going in cause the blind auction will mess with your head if you let it.

Anyone else grabbed a truck off there? Curious if I just got the deal of the century or if Tacomas don't move like they do on other platforms

Respect the buy but I need details what year, what engine, what trim?? People always post these wins without the specs and the rest of us are just standing here with our pitchforks and no context

Wait, world wide commerce autosales has Tacomas now?? I've been on there for boats and equipment forever and never once looked at the truck section. This thread is about to cost me money lol. You owe my wallet an apology

If anyone finds a MANUAL Tacoma on there, do not tell anyone else in this thread. That's mine. Actually don't even bid. I'm serious

Congrats but man I was bidding on that one too 😭 knew it'd go for low. The organized glovebox folder detail makes sense now that was a fleet maintenance truck or a retired guy's baby either way. Glad it went to someone who appreciates it. I lost but I'll survive

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
This thread is giving me hope. Been shopping Tacomas for months and everything local is either overpriced or has 200k miles with a salvage title.
